Consider Yourself Invited to the Dunlap Fly-In

Where: Dunlap Flight Park

When: April 20-22 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Wings of Rogallo

The fly-in will be held at Pat Denevan's Dunlap campground. There are camping spaces available, and it is the designated LZ. It is possible to camp at other trailer parks in the Dunlap area, or on Forest Service land on the road to launch (make sure you have a fire permit). It is recommended that you camp at Pat's, because that's the most convenient place, and that's where all the fun will be.

Cost: Camping and flying rates are charged on a per day / per night basis

  • Camping
    • $15/campsite/night for two people
    • $23/campsite/night for four people
    • ($5/additional person and $3 for the fourth person)
  • Flying
    • $10/person/day (this fee is necessary for the annual maintence and upkeep of the land, road and camping facilities)
  • Day use
    • $5/day

Ratings and Requirements: Intermediate rated USHGA Pilots (Para III, Hang III)

Donations: Any and all donations for the event would be most appreciated. Please contact your respective club coordinator who will be collecting donations.

Details: Everyone from all clubs who holds an USHGA rating of a P-III or Hang-III is invited to the fly-in. Dunlap is a moderately advanced flying site with the potential for great thermal action. There is a campground with running water, showers, restrooms and many other amenities. Plan on coming for the weekend and flying. There will be no organized shuttle arrangement so we must all rely on each other and our vehicles for transportation to and from Launch. Also, there is a possibility that the road to launch will only be open to 4- wheel drive vehicles, depending on the weather. As a result, we would like to ask everyone who has a four wheel drive vehicle to please bring it for the weekend if possible.

RSVP: Yes (We really would like to get an official head count in the next week or so, so please reply as soon as you can.) Please send confirmation requests to your respective club organizer for this event - listed below:
