Sonoma Wings is a hang gliding and paragliding club, based in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California.
There are 4 things that we, as a club, are dedicated to:
- Encouraging a sense of community among area hang glider and paraglider pilots.
- Establishing and preserving flying sites in a way that protects the rights and property of land owners.
- Promoting safety and education.
- Making the USHPA rating system more accessible to area pilots.
We accomplish these goals by:
- Maintaining communication through this web site, organizing flying trips (see our Club Calendar), and flying together every chance we get.
- Administering flying sites in our area, and actively working with all parties at all sites we fly.
- Covering safety issues at every club meeting, and talking safety whenever we fly.
- Having USHPA Observers in our club.
