R.V. Boat show:

Charlie will call Pat at Mission to ask to borrow the simulator for the R.V. Boat show in April 4,5, 6 tentative. We need videos, VHS player and TV.  Mat will lend his Duck. We need a volunteer to pick up the simulator and drop it off. We need volunteers to man the show.

St. John t-shirt design competition:

Free T-shirt to the winner and they get their name on the back. Competition ends 6/30.

We need volunteers for St. John competition duties. Such as task, prizes, rules.

We lost money on the 2000 St. John competition.  This may be a good thing, when we negotiate with the Forestry Service this coming year.

St. Helena:

Leo and Charlie visited  David Nelson, the new superintendent of parks for the Silverado District. David replaces Bud Getty who retired recently.  They invited him to come watch us fly sometime. They informally notified him of the new launch area at St. Helena.

Chute Clinic:

19 people came to the chute clinic. The club made some money. Albert will send Betty two dozen roses from the club. Mat volunteered to send Allen, our host, a thank-you card and a picture. Who has a picture?

Web Site:

John Blacet will set up a new web account with more space and continue as web guru in a newly appointed official position. Thank you John! The site will cost the club $119.40 per year. New user names and passwords will be issued. Ernie has done a lot of homework to make this happen. Thanks Ernie! More people can be involved in the web pages. Meeting dates can be on front page.

Club meetings:

Ernie will come up with some entertainment for the next meeting. These meetings are going to be fun from now on. We can organize trips and club outings such as to the Air Museum and have guest speakers. Leo discussed the possibility of holding joint meetings with ballooning club. We might even try arranging balloon drops. Ernie has the gear to do it.

Paris Williams travel fund:

We have sold three videos to benefit Paris Williams.  There’s seven left.

Other tidbits:

We need volunteers to do club merchandising and update the web.

 Albert will make club caps.

We will plan a club trip to Yosemite sometime after May.

We will schedule a tow clinic at Crazy Creek.
