This Spring Fly-in party has become an annual event. This is our sixth year now. It started as our way of saying Thank You to the owners of the properties we land on, and that is still its main purpose. It is also a great first-event-of-the-season to get our collective flying juices flowing.

You submit your best 3 flights during the 5 day period. This way you can fly all 5 days, just the last 3 weekend days, or skip a day or two in the middle. This will help with days called because of weather.
We expect another big SW showing this year. You won't want to miss it!
King Mt. is 14 hrs (800 miles) away.
To be safe, you'll want to bring oxygen. Valley floor is 5K, Mt. tops are 11K, heights to 18K are common, as are distances to 100mi. & beyond!
You'll also want to bring a GPS and 2 meter radio (of course you'll be licensed).
Here's Lisa Tate's blurb:
Great flying and fun! Handicap scoring, bonus LZ's, Open, Recreation, and Team classes, drivers award, staff choice award, BBQ, free camping, great prizes and trophies! Entry fee is $50 and includes membership to the Idaho Hang Gliding Assn. Inc. and a full color shirt designed by awesome renowned Montana artist, Dan Gravage! Many pre-registration incentives!

All those who have attended our previous St John's Fly Ins know what a great weekend this is. For those of you who haven't been to one, then you should plan on being there. The dates are different this year. Instead of 2 days in late August, it's now 3 days in July: Fri. 22, Sat. 22 and Sun. 23. There will be the usual competitions - normally open XC on Friday and Saturday, a defined task on Sunday, and a spot landing competition too. The current rigid record is 158.4 miles, flex record is 110, PG is 57.7! There will be the usual awesome prizes, and prizes in past years have been both abundant and excellent. There will be a dinner, raffles, T shirts, and GREAT FLYING. All for only $??. Pilots need to be hang 4 rated / para 2, or hang 3 with mountain flying experience. 2M Ham radios with licensed operators are essential for safe XC pickup. Everyone is responsible for their own retrieval. Please print out, complete and send your entry form, with check, by 7-14. Make check out to "Sonoma Wings":
