Links: Details: This St. Helena Fly In and BBQ party has become an annual event. This is our seventh year now. It started as our way of saying Thank You to the owners of the properties we land on, and that is still its main purpose. It is also a great first-event-of-the-season to get our collective flying juices flowing. We will meet in Jane Campbell's field (LZ) Sat. morning at 9:00. Ratings: H4 / P4. We are limited to 20 pilots, so sign up now.

Blurb: 2006 King Mountain Hang Gliding Championships, Moore, Idaho. July 5-9 with pilot briefing and multimedia show of the area on Tuesday July 4th in the evening. Lots of fun and superb flying in some of the most scenic mountains in the world. Open, Rec, Team and Masters Class (new this year!) Open distance XC along a specified route with bonus LZ's and handicap scoring. BBQ's, Breakfasts, free camping, super extra special trophies and all that... plus the envy of the hg world...shirts by DanG (suitable for framing)!
Entry fee of $60 includes pilot packet, shirt, maps, awards party, and a ton o fun!
Preregistration packets will be mailed out shortly. Let me know if you need extra registrations to give your friends!

We expect another big SW showing this year. You won't want to miss it!
King Mt. is 14 hrs (800 miles) away.
To be safe, you'll want to bring oxygen. Valley floor is 5K, Mt. tops are 11K, heights to 18K are common, as are distances to 100mi. & beyond!
You'll also want to bring a GPS and 2 meter radio (of course you'll be licensed).

Cost: $30, includes dinner and T shirt: ($10 extra dinner and $15 extra T-shirt)

Please send in your entry form ASAP, so that we can get an idea of how many pilots and friends to prepare food for.
All those who have attended our previous St John's Fly Ins know what a great weekend this is. For those of you who haven't been to one, then you should plan on being there, August 21 - 23. There will be the usual competitions - normally an open XC on the Saturday, a defined task on Sunday, and a spot landing competition too. The current rigid record is 144.4 miles, flex record is over 90, PG is 57! There will be the usual awesome prizes, and prizes in past years have been both abundant and excellent. There will be a dinner, raffles, T shirts, and GREAT FLYING. All for only $30. Pilots need to be hang 4 rated / para 2, or hang 3 with mountain flying experience. 2M Ham radios with licensed operators are essential for safe XC pickup. Everyone is responsible for their own retrieval. Please print out, complete and send with check by 8-14 made out to "Sonoma Wings":
